Emotion Regulation Program

Skills-based group and individual support for adults managing intense emotions and complex trauma.

The Emotion Regulation Program supports adults who experience significant difficulty managing emotions, often linked to complex trauma, personality disorders, and co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges.

Programming includes evidence-based groups such as:

  • Anger Management

  • STEPPS

  • Self-Esteem

  • alongside individual counselling.

Without specialized support, this population is at high risk of frequent crisis presentations, emergency department use, hospitalization, and disengagement from services. By focusing on emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and skills development, the program reduces crisis escalation, improves stability, and helps clients remain meaningfully engaged in recovery-oriented care.
